The rooms good sized and huge with refrigerator and kitchen, for example. Central location near to centre of Santa Cruz. And next to beach and downtown, the Boardwalk and the beach and Ideal Restaurant.

The hotel with large and brand-new rooms, in a perfect area, close to everything. The rooms with terrace. Lots of goodies for breakfast. Such an amazing stay for the price.

The hotel is fairly clean, nestled in the nice building with very helpfulstaff. This property offers neat and huge rooms with refrigerator and a pull out couch, as for instance. The location is fantastic, just a pleasant stroll away from Cowell Beach.

The hotel was a perfect base for enjoying a very very nice area, next to centre, Boardwalk and beach and boardwalk, wharf, and shops. Booked a room with terrace. Everywhere there was fairly clean.
Well, no breakfast.

The staff was really nice. The location is a block away from the warf.
The place needs to be updated. Was afraid to step out on the porch bare foot. Too many nails showing on the floor.

No breakfast, for the money there should be more than toast.

The manager was completely rude to us and lied to us on several occasions. We had booked the room for 2 nights about 3 hours prior to us arriving and then as soon as we saw the place we were immediately disgusted and wanted to cancel our reservation but she wouldn't let us without a 2 day notice. So we decided to stay rather then loose out on our money. She gave us a room key for down stairs when we ordered a room with a balcony. And I told her that and she said that all the other rooms were reserved!!! I know because I reserved one of them!!!! We took the damn key to the downstairs room and it didn't even work so we had to go back to the office and tell her and she said I will give you one of the rooms upstairs. When she said they were all reserved??? We were the only car in the whole parking lot she was totally lying. The room was filthy, the paint was pealing of the walls, the carpet was stained in many places and the smell was a mix between dirty gym socks and Indian Curry. It was gross. We ended up not sleeping at all that night due to a rude guest next door. We have a young child and bc the man next door was shouting and yelling he kept waking her up. It was seriously one of the worst night ever. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The service was absolutely a nightmare and the we were treated horribly. I seriously would have rather spent the night in my car. Don't waste your time or money. Also on the side note the police were in the parking lot on 3 different occasions. It's a run down place that attracts low life people.

This place is not luxurious, it's good enough for what you pay. The boardwalk is really close by. If you just need a place to crash, this is the place, nothing fancy. We stayed in the family suite. All the appliances worked well :-).
People around are loud at night...

We stayed in a family suite. Definately not fancy, but very functionable, comfortable and clean. The location is excellent, a very short walk to the Boardwalk/Pier. Parking was very easy, never overcrowded.
The complimentary breakfast did not begin until 8AM. Having stayed there for a soccer tournament, that didn't work with the early AM games for those in our group that did not have a suite.

the lady who worked there was an absolute grouch -- she berated me when i asked about their cancellation policy for the second night we had booked and told me that i would be charged full price if i attempted any changes, was very reluctant to let me see my room before signing my credit card bill because she claimed i was looking for an excuse to cancel, and then after i asked for late checkout and had it approved, she called my room at the original checkout time, then came to the room and demanded that we leave so that the cleaning people could come in. the first time she even cracked a smile was when we were driving away and she cheerfully suggested we stay there again soon.
